Care and Cleaning

Proper care will enhance and lengthen the life of your sunglasses.

For best performance, rinse your sunglasses regularly in warm water. Dry with a soft, absorbent cloth. Do not use paper-based products to clean your lenses. Do not use abrasive cleaners or soaps, as these may leave a deposit on the lens. (Do not use tissues with lotions, as they may leave a film on the lens.)

Scratches

Your lenses are resistant to light wear. However, heavy scratching can cause visible damage. Help prolong the life of your lenses by removing dirt and other debris with good cleaning practices. Proper cleaning practices will also help minimize scratching. Always keep your sunglasses in their case while not in use.

Clean Cloths

Keep your sunglasses clean and smudge free with a microfiber cleansing cloth. We recommend you frequently wash your cloth to keep it free of debris that may damage your lenses. Wash in warm soapy water. (Do not use fabric softener as this may leave a film on your lenses.)

All sunglasses purchased from Bähko Eyewear include one microfiber pouch and lens cleaner and one zippered protective case.

Heat

Avoid placing your sunglasses in excessive heat, which may deteriorate your lenses or misshape your frame.

Hard Water & Salt Water

Hard water and salt water may leave spots on lenses after drying. To avoid spotting, rinse your eyewear with tap water and wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Chemicals

Some common household chemicals may react negatively with the frame material and the coatings of your lenses. Avoid contact with chemicals such as acetone, glass cleaners, hair sprays, chlorine or glue.
